Privacy Policy

This policy explains what RelayTutors collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account data: email, name, optional photo link, bio, subjects, rates, location and time zone.
• Listings you post, including the private family contact you enter.
• Messages, replies, reviews, reports and support conversations.
• Technical data: sign-in sessions, push notification tokens, and basic server logs.
• Billing data is handled by Freemius, which sells Pro on our behalf; we store only your Freemius customer and license IDs and subscription dates.

Family and student information

Tutors post information about students they refer. The contact field is private: it is visible only to the tutor who posted it and, after they choose to share it, to one receiving tutor. Public listing fields may not contain names beyond a first name, contact details, or school names. Open listings can be previewed by visitors who are not signed in, without the family contact, the student's first name or ZIP code, and we ask search engines not to index them. RelayTutors is not directed at children and families do not use it directly.

How we use data

• To run the service: show listings, deliver messages, send notifications.
• To keep the network safe: moderation, fraud prevention, handling reports.
• To bill Pro subscriptions.

We don't sell personal information and don't use it for third-party advertising.

Sharing

With other tutors as described above, and with service providers who process data for us (hosting, email, push, payments) under contract.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, turn notifications off, and delete your account in Help & support. Deleting closes your listings and removes your personal details. California residents and others with similar rights may request access to or deletion of their data through support.
